My Role As Honorary Consul of Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste has long been a favourite country of mine.

Since 2002 I have visited Timor-Leste regularly, initially as a guest at the Independence Celebrations and then in my capacity as Advisor to the Timor-Leste Government on the establishment of the country’s first Chamber of Commerce, CCI-TL, in 2008.

I have since travelled to Timor-Leste as an advisor, tour leader and election observer on many occasions. In December 2018 I was honoured to be appointed Honorary Consul of Timor-Leste in Melbourne and Victoria.

In my new role, I look forward to working with the local Timorese community and promoting Timor-Leste as a country with exciting opportunities for Australians to engage, travel and invest.
