As you may well already know, since February 2018 I have been a Board Member for Worksafe Victoria.
This month it is Worksafe Healthy and Safety Month. With AFL great Cameron Ling and global television news anchor and broadcast journalist Anjali Rao as our Ambassadors, throughout the month, across Victoria, there are Health and Safety Month events. Click here to discover an event near you.
As part of Health and Safety Month, Worksafe Victoria is promoting our Work Well program. This is a wonderful initiative and a program that I see as very positive in taking steps to instill wellbeing into work and giving the community tools that they can use as a practical approach to managing wellbeing.
Work Well aims to provide practical resources, funding and networking opportunities to prevent mental injury and promote mentally healthy Victorian Workplaces. A significant part of the program is the ‘Work Well Tool Kit’. This is a voluntary online tool. It uses a step by step approach to help employers to promote a mentally healthy workplace and prevent mental injury through access to tailored and relevant research, tools and information.
